NOBC Europe Long/Short

An alternative approach focusing on the generation of alpha by avoiding market risk

The objective of NOAM Europe Long/Short is to offer a performance that is uncorrelated to changes in European equity markets and with annualised volatility that is half that of a typical equity fund (between 6% and 8%) and an annual performance objective of over 4%. Essentially concentrated on the theme of global growth, NOAM Europe Long/Short’s investment universe harbours a number of players with exposure to the latest international growth regions, not all of which are successful. The investment team aims to position the fund in both winners (long positions) and losers (short positions) to optimise the leverage effect, minimise the associated risk and offer performance regardless of the market configuration.

Why invest in NOAM Europe Long/Short?

  • to seize the numerous investment opportunities within a universe of more than 3,000 European mid-caps with very varied themes;
  • ;
  • to take advantage of performance divergences within a limited selection of companies while at the same time limiting the net exposure to equity market risk;

  • to obtain, over the medium term, a performance that is uncorrelated to the European equity markets.
